The goals of the
Clinical Enterprise (CE) are to provide a support base to NJMS and its
clinical faculty, and to create an environment that is conducive to clinical
instruction, advancement of medical knowledge, provision of quality healthcare
to the community and professional growth of NJMS staff. The core of the Clinical Enterprise is University Hospital.
This is where the vast majority of inpatient and surgical work is performed. Functions of the CE
- Delivery of clinical services through an integrated healthcare system
- Managed care contracting
- Managed care credentialing
- Quality and utilization management
- Implementation of practice standards across the system
