Liver Transplant & Hepatobiliary Anesthesia

The liver transplant anesthesia team, directed by Dr.Yuriy Gubenko, provides coverage for all liver transplants and hepatobiliary surgery. The liver transplant program is the only liver transplant program in New Jersey, and one of the busier in the nation. The division, in collaboration with the multidisciplinary liver team, manages other complex hepatobiliary disorders such as liver tumors, biliary strictures, and portal hypertension. The team also manages non-operative invasive procedures such as TIPS and ERCP.
