The Department of Cell Biology and Molecular Medicine is located in the New Jersey Medical School at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey (UMDNJ) in Newark, New Jersey. Created by the State Legislature in 1970, UMDNJ is now a statewide network of academic health centers that includes eight schools on five campuses. Our department contains spacious, modern laboratories and is equipped with the latest research facilities. The George F. Smith Library subscribes to approximately 2,500 journals, in addition to having access to online bibliographic retrieval systems for literature searches.
