Expert Panel Report 2: Guidelines for the Diagnosis and Management of Asthma (EPR-2) is the culmination of more than 3 years of preparatory analysis, meetings, and writing and review cycles involving many individuals, not the least of whom were the members of the second Expert Panel. It was published in 1997. The present UMD Care asthma disease management forms were based largely on its recommendations and structure.
