Cerebral Vascular Computational LaboratoryWe serve as a site for development of novel endovascular devices in the treatment of intracranial aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, and lesions of the spinal vasculature. Lead by Dr. Charles Prestigiacomo, the Department’s newest laboratory is a primary site for summer research assistantships and provides medical students and residents with a wide array of computational research including the use of one of the few Dextroscopes in the world. The Dextroscope is a medical imaging device that combines state of the art Virtual Reality technology with real-time volumetric and 3D rendering.
