MAJOR RESEARCH INTEREST
I have a general interest in cell calcium homeostasis; a specific interest in the
Sodium-Calcium exchanger NCX1.1 and its role in calcium homeostasis in cardiac
cells. I am also interested in the regulatory properties of NCX1.3, the isoform expressed
in smooth muscle cells and how they differ from those of the cardiac isoform NCX1.1.
