Financial Support
Full-time students are supported with a 12-month renewable
graduate assistantship of $24,000 for the first year. The program includes tuition
remission and a medical benefits plan. Travel funds of up to $500 per year are
available for each student to present their research at major national or international
meetings.
Students must maintain a 3.0 (B) or better average to qualify for financial
support. No teaching is required of full-time students.

The strength and breadth of collaboration among Newark's institutions of higher education have created a vision for an innovative venture. Recognizing the variety of opportunities that have been opened in the areas of graduate study and research as a result of the cooperative activity of Rutgers-Newark, NJIT, and UMDNJ-NJMS, the three universities have joined to develop The Graduate Center at Newark.
