A. Guided by national guidelines, to train medical students
in clinical and public health nutrition and thereby enable them to use nutrition
knowledge and concepts in the diagnosis and treatment of patients and the prevention
of disease.
B. To conduct laboratory, clinical, and public health research
in nutrition that focuses on enhancing knowledge of disease processes and prevention.
