Application Information
Residency candidates for adult psychiatry and the combined programs must be graduates of an approved medical school and may enter the program at the PGY-1 or PGY-2 levels. Those applying at the PGY-2 year must have completed an approved PGY-1 experience. Qualified resident applicants will have the opportunity to spend a day with faculty and current residents. In addition, they are also invited to attend some of the ongoing didactic programs.
The Psychiatry Residency Training Program at UMDNJ-New Jersey Medical School (NJMS) is a full participant in the Electronic Residency Application Service (ERAS) of the AAMC. If you are a senior medical student, please contact your Student Affairs Office to obtain ERAS application materials.
International Medical Graduates should contact the ECFMG for application materials.
