Urology
The Faculty of the Division of Urology is extremely diverse with expertise in all major subspecialties. The main campus is at University Hospital (UH) in Newark , NJ . Affiliated hospitals include the East Orange VA Medical Center (EOVAMC), Hackensack University Medical Center (HUMC), and St. Barnabas Medical Center (SBMC).
The Division is led by Dr. Mark Jordan, Harris L. Willits Professor and Chief, Division of Urology � New Jersey Medical School and Chief of Urology at UH. Dr. Jordan specializes in oncology, laparoscopy, and renovascular surgery. Dr. Hossein Sadeghi is Chief of Urology at the EOVAMC. Dr. Sadeghi specializes in male infertility and erectile dysfunction. Dr. Georgi Guruli is an Assistant Professor at NJMS and his expertise is in Urologic Oncology. Dr. Rahuldev Bhalla is the Director of Minimally Invasive Urology and specializes in Laparoscopic and Robotic surgery. Dr. Neil Sherman specializes in Reconstructive and Female Urology. Drs. Guruli, Bhalla, and Sherman are full-time faculty based at NJMS/UH. Dr. Patricia Gilhooly specializes in voiding dysfunction, neurourology, and female urology. She practices at both EOVAMC and NJMS/UH.
The faculty at Hackensack University Medical (HUMC) Center include Dr. Ihor Sawczuk (Site Director at HUMC, Oncology), Dr. Richard Watson (Ambulatory Urology), Dr. Ravi Munver (Minimally Invasive Urology), and Dr. Deborah Fromer (Female Urology), as well as a large group of voluntary attendings with busy private practices. Dr. Moneer Hanna and Dr. Jeff Stock are outstanding pediatric urologists practicing at St. Barnabas Medical Center (SBMC).
