The University Hospital is a 507 bed facility and is the main teaching hospital for the New Jersey Medical School. It is the site of the Level 1 Trauma Center for the northern half of New Jersey. There are approximately 9,000 surgical admissions each year and 6,500 surgical procedures are performed in the 14 operating rooms. The vascular surgery staff has privileges to perform endovascular diagnostic and interventional procedures within the operating rooms, cardiac catheterization laboratories, and the interventional radiology suites.

Hackensack University Medical Center, is a 775-bed non-profit, research and teaching hospital located seven miles west of New York City.  It provides tertiary care needs for northern New Jersey and the New York metropolitan area. HUMC is New Jersey's largest provider of inpatient and outpatient healthcare services and is the fourth largest hospital in the nation based on admissions.  The Heart and Vascular Hospital at HUMC recently opened with 6 state-of-the-art cardiac catheterization laboratories, including one advanced peripheral interventional suite.  It is an affiliate of UMDNJ - New Jersey Medical School.
