We are pleased to invite you to take advantage of the following activities (all dates to be announced):
Basic Life Support (BLS)
This course is offered by the Basic Life Support Staff from the Community Training Center of The University Hospital.
Note: There is a $25 fee for registering, and a $55 fee for BLS certification.
"Accessing Medical Information" Library Tutorial at UMDNJ George F. Smith Library of the Health Sciences
This course is offered by the following faculty:

Cardio-pulmonary Physiology Lecture
This course is offered by Mr. Michael Grabow, C(ASCP)SC, MS, MBA -Senior Administrator of The Institute for the Public Understanding of Health and Medicine.
In addition, there will be two tours of our pathology laboratories given by Professor and Vice Chairman Seena C. Aisner, M.D. and Professor Debra S. Heller, M.D. and Associate Administrative Director of Clinical Laboratories, Mr. Alton James, B.S., M(ASCP), faculty members from the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine.
There will also be two tours of our Emergency/Trauma Center given by Hosseinali Shahidi, M.D., MPH, Assistant Professor and Vice Chief, Division of Emergency Services.
In addition, there will be two general tours of University Hospital given by the Department of Marketing and Media Relations.
A Health Screening Clinic will be held by Leonard Bielory, M.D., Professor of Medicine and Director of the Division of Allergy, Immunology, and Rheumatology will serve as the Clinic Coordinator. Students will have the opportunity to be screened for hypertension (high blood pressure), weight, as well as having their blood tested, and their vision checked.
