The
NJMS Chapter of the Student National Medical Association (SNMA) hosted
its 8th Annual Professional Dinner-Dance on January 14. Titled "Diversifying
the Face of Medicine," the event provided an opportunity for the
group to honor a number of members of the NJMS community including: Kathyann
Duncan, MD, clinical assistant professor of Family Medicine; George Heinrich,
MD, associate dean of Admissions and Special Programs; and the Office
of Admissions Staff (pictured at left): Mercedes Lettman, director, Barbara
Clark, Lisa Houston, Tiffanie Hart and Jenneice White (missing from photo).
The Academy Street Firehouse received the Community Service Award and
Ms. Tolulope Efuwape received the SNMA 4th Year Service Award. Denise
Rodgers, MD, UMDNJ's Executive VP for Academic and Clinical Affairs, provided
the keynote address.
