NJMS Students Victorious in Med School Challenge Bowl

Jeopardy, here they come! A panel of five fourth-year students from NJMS matched wits with student colleagues from Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and the School of Osteopathic Medicine during the Inaugural Medical Student Challenge Bowl, an event sponsored by the New Jersey Chapter of the American College of Physicians. The challenge took place on February 2 during the organization's Annual Scientific Meeting.

Pictured from left are the winning team members: Megan Keane, Nidhi Kohli, Maura Barry, Inna Nutanson and Sussan Salas. NJMS student Tony Tarchichi was instrumental in conceptualizing and facilitating the event and made sure that Challenge Bowl questions were provided by clinician educators not affiliated with any of the three New Jersey medical schools.

According to Eileen Moser, MD, assistant professor of Medicine, Director of Resident Professional Development, and the Northern Governor for the ACP's New Jersey Chapter, the American College of Physicians is the leading professional organization for internal medicine. The meeting also featured a discussion led by NJMS Internal Medicine Chief Residents Kunal Gover, MD and Kavita Singh, MD who offered their advice on how to survive internship.
