Massage therapy classes hosted by the Cross Cultural and Integrative Medicine Interest Group are providing the NJMS community with some hands on experience, literally! The Monday sessions focus on one area of the body each week. Last week's session focused on arms and legs while upcoming sessions will cover Lower Back & Head (11/20) and Hands & Feet (11/27).
Classes are held in the Upper Level Grand Foyer (C-Level of the MSB) at 5:30 p.m. and are instructed by Lisa Helbig, the Executive Director of the Institute for Therapeutic Massage, who is pictured here demonstrating proper hand technique for the effleurage stroke on NJMS student Kyle Cedermark '10, while students from NJMS and NJDS look on.
