Mission Statement

The Faculty Organization is dedicated to improving our communal academic life while promoting excellence in education, research and patient care at New Jersey Medical School.  It serves as the voice of faculty concerns and hopes for the Medical School.

Location

The Faculty Organization office is located in the Faculty Lounge in the Medical Science Building Room C-601.

Meetings

Meetings occur every other month, usually in the Faculty Lounge.  Agendas with date and time information are disseminted at least two weeks in advance.  ALL FACULTY ARE WELCOME!

                  Faculty Awards 2011

On June 23, 2011 the NJMS Faculty celebrated the Faculty of the Year - an award which was established in 1987. 

This year's awardees for Basic Science - Elizabeth Raveche, Ph.D., and for Clinical Science - Soly Baredes, MD. 

The Distinguished Career Award, instituted last year, went to BJ Wagner, Ph.D. for Basic Science

and Peter Carmel, MD, for Clinical Science.  A wine tasting preceded the award ceremony where the awardees were

joined by family and other NJMS faculty.
