Background : Ms. Wallerstein graduated from Erskine College in South Carolina with a B.S. degree in biology in 1983. She earned a Master of Science degree in Human Genetics from the University of South Carolina School of Medicine in 1987. She is board-certified by the American Board of Medical Genetics and is a certified perinatal grief and bereavement counselor through RTS (formerly Resolve Through Sharing). Proficient in Spanish.
Professional Interests and Activities: Ms. Wallerstein has worked throughout New Jersey over the past 20 years and is primarily interested in pediatric genetics and loss and bereavement. She has facilitated two different support groups for families who have terminated pregnancies due to genetic abnormalities. Ms. Wallerstein serves as an advisor for Chromosome Deletion Outreach, a support group for families of children with rare chromosomal abnormalities. She is also interested in counseling multicultural patients.
