Sabina Mushtaq, MD
NJMS welcomes Dr. Sabina Mushtaq who recently joined the UMDNJ family as a full time attending physician in the Department of Psychiatry at The University Hospital and Assistant Professor of Psychiatry in the Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at New Jersey Medical School. Dr. Mushtaq will be active member of the Consultation/Liaison Service at University Hospital and will focus her outpatient practice on treating children with autism spectrum disorders. Her research and clinical interests include pervasive developmental disorders, neurobehavioral disorders in children and somatoform disorders. Dr. Sabina Mushtaq received her undergraduate degree from Fatima Jinnah Degree College in Karachi and went on to complete her medical education from Sindh Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan.
Following medical school, Dr. Mushtaq completed her general psychiatry residency at Harlem Hospital Center-Columbia University in New York. Her fellowship training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry was completed at UMDNJ-NJMS. She is a member of the American Psychiatric Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.Dr. Mushtaq is pleased to be building her practice in child psychiatry at UMDNJ, as well as, pursuing her academic and research interests.We are happy to have Dr. Mushtaq as part of our UMDNJ family!
