Figure: 1-1

In Figure 1–1, you see the two programs that you will use to control an OSCE; The DVR Control Program called “CMS Lite”, and the Matrix Switcher Control Program called “Matrix Switcher”. In this section, we will only cover the CMC Lite program. To begin, double click on the CMS Lite icon to open it.

Once open, you will see the connection prompt appear to enter a password, as seen in Figure 1-2. Before entering the password, make sure that the IP address is set to “192.168.1.85” and that the port number is “7000”. The password is “111111”, that is six one’s.

In Figure 1-3 you will see what will open after connecting to the DVR remotely. This is the window that you will observe the OSCE for any video loss or sound loss.

The Room viewing options let you decide what type of view do you want to view the OSCE in. It is recommended to be in the 16 room view (right most icon).

The numbers that you see are room numbers (we only use 1 through 12) and by clicking them, you will be able to go view and hear that single room instead of all 12.

Live view lets you see in a live video stream of all the rooms (should be on automatically after starting program)

In Figure 1-4, you will see all the 12 rooms setup and viewable. This is how you will view the rooms.

Enter the last name of the student for each of the rooms (Start from encounter one, and you will not need to change the names for the other encounters unless you have a new group of students). You will need to this for each camera number 1 through 12 and then click Apply and then click Ok, and you may exit out of the setup menu.

Section 1.2: Recording and Stopping

To start recording, you have to go through to the File Menu, then scroll over the DVR option, and then click Record, as seen in Figure 1-8. To stop recording, follow the same path except choose Stop.
