Q. What does scale mean?

How much oligonucleotide is synthesized, which is determined by the amount of nucleotide in the column.

Q. What are the available scales?

0.2 umol and 1 umol scale.

Q. What scale should I order?

0.2 umole scale is enough for most applications.

Q. What are the available purification types?

Desalting and OPC.

Q. What type of purification do I need?

Simple PCR and sequencing generally only need simple desalting. EMSA probes or cloning or mutagenesis may require OPC purification.

Q. What is OPC?

Oligonucleotide Purification Cartridge. It serves to purify only full length sequence.

Q. What is the turnaround time?

Desalt: 1-2 working days, OPC: 2-3 working days.

Q. In what form do I receive the oligos?

Desalting orders in 500ul water, OPC orders in dried form.

Q. In what units do I receive oligos?

micro grams.

Q. How should I store my oligos?

Aliquote and Store at -20oC.

Q. How are oligos quanitated?

UV260 absorbance.

Q. Is there a phosphate on the 5' or 3' end?

NO. We can add at 5' end with an additional charge.

Q. What is the longest sequence that can be synthesized?

150 bases.

Q. What dyes are available?

6-Fam, Hex, Tet, Tamra, Cy3, Cy5, Biotin.

Phosphothioate backbone, Inosine, 2-O-methyl nucleotide.

Q. Can I order RNA oligonucleotides?

Yes. We have made "decoy" RNA, RNAi, miRNA etc.
