New User Account Procedures

I. Academic Computing Services Email account (ACS Mail)

This Email service is used with the following mail clients:

MS Outlook Express

MS Outlook

Eudora

Netscape

  1. Go to Academic Computing Services (ACS) they are located at MSB C632

  2. Apply for a new Email account.

II. New GroupWise Account

Create a Heat Ticket requesting a GroupWise Email account via the OSR system ( Do Not Go To ACS )

III. Conversion from ACS Mail to GroupWise mail account

  1. Create Heat Ticket via the OSR system requesting to be converted from ACS mail to GroupWise

  2. Be sure to indicate that you are an existing ACS Email user and provide Email address ie, jamesdl@umdnj.edu

IV. New Core Network User Account

You must have a GroupWise or ACS Email account.
Create Heat Ticket via the OSR system.
Be sure to include the following info in ticket:

First and last name

Title

Department

Email address

Location

Phone #

Direct reports name
